  The class material was really interesting and I can tell the professor cares. However, there was an overwhelming amount of reading and information to take in. The discussion post was 500 words minimum. I had to withdraw from the class because the workload was too much.

  Theres a lot of reading but its really easy, he even gives you a website that reads you the articles. The textbook is what he gives you so theres really not one, quizzes are easy just take notes. Hes really nice and replies to emails fast. Id recommended taking notes, you can tell hes passionate for teaching so id take him again.

  SO. MUCH. READING. Sometimes over a 100 pages a week. The material was interesting but it was way too much. Also, there's a group project and I DETEST group projects. Everyone waited until the last minute to submit anything. He's an organized and seemingly caring professor but I would not take him again.

  Each week we had about three articles lengthy articles, followed by a quiz and a writing response. The online class is homework heavy with lots of reading, but as long as you give yourself the enough time to do it you'll be fine. For the most part his lectures are interesting and though-provoking, you'll learn a lot.

  One of the best professors ive ever had hands down. Makes class very interesting and is definitely an eye opener on the racial issues going on! Gives extra credit so take them! Reading is a must if you want to pass the class.

  Professor Ratcliff seemed intimidating at first, but you learn a lot when you take his class. You can tell how much he knows from the lectures he gives and it really opens up your eyes to the injustices of our society. I only needed this class to complete my theme course and fill the diversity requirement yet I left this class wanting to know more.

  It's a PAS class so expect many lectures, discussions, and readings. He's a very passionate activist and he gets the entire class engage in a very stimulating discussion about race. Students present the readings throughout, and the tests are hard (especially the midterm. He got more lenient with the final). Take him if you want to learn!
