1. Begin by drawing a circle to outline the fruit.

2. Draw the stem of the orange, erasing as necessary. Draw a cylindrical shape with a smaller cylinder protruding from one side. Don’t forget the tiny ovals at the tips.

3. Draw a leaf protruding from the stem. Outline the leaf using two curved lines that meet at a point. Draw a curved line down the center of the leaf to form the central vein. Then, draw short, curved lines extending from the vein, forming smaller veins.

4. Texture the orange. Draw curved lines extending from the base of the stem. Then, draw dots all over the surface of the orange.

6. Draw a scalloped oval within the first oval. Form the scalloped line from many connected curved lines. This outlines where the orange peel meets the flesh of the fruit in a sliced-open cross-section.

7. Use a series of connected, curved lines to enclose an irregular shape at the center of the orange. Then draw curved lines extending from the center. This is where the orange sections, or carpels, meet.
