Way back in 2008, RiRi got “Shhh...” tattooed on her pointer finger. It was such a clever idea, Lindsay Lohan and Lily Allen copied her by getting the same tat in 2009. In the years since, Rihanna's added tons more ink. Now her right hand and wrist are covered entirely in various geometric designs.

The Pretty Little Liars' letters
When Pretty Little Liars wrapped its final season of filming last October, the cast got permanent reminders of the show. Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, Troian Bellisario, Sasha Pieterse, and Janel Parrish each inked the first letter of their character's names on their “shh” fingers — a tribute to the series' opening credits.

The Disney Channel alumna jumps at any chance to get a new tattoo. So far, she has well over 30 and is always adding more. Her collection of finger tats include a heart, a cross, a peace sign, the word “karma,” an equal sign, an evil eye, a tongue, a watermelon, an alien, and the word “bad” (a tribute to Michael Jackson's album). Phew!
Ariana Grande's “Baby doll”
Ari has “baby doll” written on her right middle finger, which must make flipping people off extra entertaining. Fans have reported seeing tattoos of the Venus symbol and the word “Honeymoon” (a reference to her 2014 Honeymoon Tour) on her fingers as well.
Kylie Jenner's squiggly “M”
Fun fact: All of Kylie's tattoos are red, including the wavy lines she got with her close friend Jordyn Woods. If you look closely, it's supposed to be a scripted letter “M.”

The Jenners must have a thing for matching tattoos, because Kendall got one with her BFF Hailey Baldwin. They both inked broken hearts, but Kendall chose more subtle white ink for hers. She also has a full, unbroken heart in white on other middle finger.
“The one on my right hand is a full heart to represent an angel and my left is a broken heart — kind of like the devil side,” Jenner told fans on her app.

Katy Perry's Hello Kitty
After left shark stole the show at Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime performance, she inked “XLIX” — the game's year — on her ring finger. She also has a Hello Kitty homage, pictured above.
Sophie Turner's tally marks
“It’s like a tally of 5 for my family of 5,” Turner explained to Just Jared. “I got it when I was really missing them in Canada. It was on my birthday and it was me and one person. We were the only people there. And I was like, ‘I'm on my birthday and I woke up and my parents aren't here and my family isn't here’ so I got this. I'm very tight with them.”

Beyoncé's roman numerals
Nope, those elaborate designs aren't a real tattoo. They're mehndi, a type of henna that Hindu brides wear. Beyoncé tried it out for her “Hymn For The Weekend” music video with Coldplay.
But look closer and you'll see a faded “IV” on her left ring finger. After getting married in 2008, she and Jay Z got matching tats in honor of their wedding anniversary on April 4. They opted for brown-red ink instead of black, which is why it's faded over the years.

Speaking of couple tattoos, Paramore's frontwoman inked her husband's initials — New Found Glory's Chad Gilbert — on her fingers after their wedding.

“It's my lucky number,” Halsey told iHeartRadio. “My fans know it. It's on my merch. It's in their usernames on Twitter. Seventeen just means something to us. I didn't know it at the time, but 17 was the year for me where I became Halsey. I just didn't know the name yet.”
